I'm just stoked I got such a great freebie thrown in. I was gonna buy the LP rebate or not. Thanks, Moog Music!

Sorry to raise an old topic from the dead, but I finally got my CP-251!

I hope there aren't many other people out there still waiting... 10 months is long enough!

I believe that this was a timed deal which lasted till the 31st of December 2008.

The extra money for the CP-251 is well worth it. You get an S&H, LFO with two waveforms, four input CV mixer, two attenuators, a lag processor as well as a four way multiple. Seeing as how the LP has four CV inputs, the possibilities with just this module is pretty amazing.

Getting the ring mod before the 251 is actually probably the way to go, you get tons of new modulation features, and something that can generate sound on it's own. :)

I gotta say, I'm pleasantly surprised with how much the CP-251 adds complexity to the sound of the LP. It's amazing what a little bit of noise, and an extra LFO can do to the sound! I don't know what I did without it!

Yes, i know this...this is the reason I want to get a moogerfooger ring mod. I was watching the features of a Kenton USB solo converter, and noticed that it has an LFO which can send CV at its aux out. Unfortunately, I've read the manual and the LFO range is very limited. It goes only up to 100Hz, so it isn't so good for audio rate modulation stuff etc...
