Mine arrived yesterday. I got my Voyager a week before Xmas but I did not send the form in until sometime around Dec 28-30 (sorry for posting in the little phatty forum - but this is where the CP-251 thread seems to be going). It is a nice little unit. It is great to have some extra modulation and routing possibilities.
Now I want the ring modulator. And the phaser. And the filter. And the analog delay. Oh heck I just want them all

Does the CP-251 need a power supply ? I didnt expect that. But i guess all those things couldnt be passive.
Another cp-251 questions here. ...do the rack ears that hold the vx-351 and cp-251 together have a kick stand so that you can use it as a table-top lean-back? Or is it meant for rack use only? I propose that idea for the boys (and gals) in R&D - add a kickstand. Though it may only be useful for me as I have a platform on my desk just above the space where my moog panel ends.

Definitely needs a power supply. A kickstand would be pretty easy to make, wouldn't it? I know one isn't offered...wooperman wrote:Does the CP-251 need a power supply ? I didnt expect that. But i guess all those things couldnt be passive.

the rackmount kit is only for rack mounting....but you'd be in business with a couple of right-triangle-shaped pieces of wood - screw the rack ears right onto the slanted edge.
Actually I think that the shelf could probably stand upright by itself. The patchcords could make it front heavy and lord forbid if you tripped on a cable or something.
I think one of those 12 space floor rack shelves woudl be perfect.
hosa rmt-52 $ 80 bucks sweetwater
I found that I preferred a rack because I always unplugg my foogers and cover them...and the cp is a dust mansion with all them jacks lol.
So I racked mine because It was just a pain in the butt...i put the lid on the rack when im donw and drape a sheet over the Voyager/Micro.

I bought a few inexpensive stretchy keyboard covers from Sweetwater and use them on my synths.
I have also been looking at rack-mounting moogerfoogers. There is lots of discussion on the moogerfooger forum. I am thinking seriously about just buying something like a 40 space 19" server rack (example http://www.starcase.com/rack_pre_pack_kits.htm) . Then I can put gear on the top and some drawers and shelves on the bottom. You can also buy panels, doors, casters, support beams, fans, etc for these types of units.

So, I have been one of the whiners on this thread, and today I got my CP-251 - so miracles do happen. It shipped via UPS, in a plain brown box, but does include moogerfooger ® CP-251 printing on box.
Packed with Manual, power supply, and CP-251.
I purchased mine LP in december (22nd), but it wasn't shipped until late january. But looks like the Dec date is the one that counts. Pretty consistent with what I have heard. So if you got yours in mid-late jan. you will be waiting a bit longer. But dec folks should be getting close to finished.
Also, if you live in Pacific coast, could add several days as the company is in N. Carolina. And add two extra days as packages make little or no progress on weekends. Ok, that about wraps up my irrelevant analysis of the situation.

How many days do you need to add if you live in Australia??Also, if you live in Pacific coast, could add several days as the company is in N. Carolina.
I'm hoping for mine this month sometime.
