Presets
So, another noob question: When editing a preset, it will always revert to the preset unless you save your changes, correct? So if I select a preset, play with other controls, then move to another preset, it will not save the changes that I made unless I specifically tell it to save them?

And that is why there's the factory reset feature! Of course, if you have any custom presets, and you mess one preset up, and do a factory reset, you lose ALL your custom presets. So it's best to use that as a last resort.

So how do you back up the presets? Is there a specific output on the Moog that will connect to the computer?Khoral wrote:Also don't forget to back up your bank with Midi-OX before you load a sysex into your LP, because sometimes you might load a whole bank while thinking you're only loading a single patch!
The USB port connects to the computer. It can send MIDI information. Or you can use something like the M-Audio UNO, which is a USB MIDI adapter.MoogLittlePhattySII wrote:

So should I use that MIDI-OX program to transfer it? Or does the computer just see the LP as a storage device and allow me to copy its data?Voltor07 wrote:The USB port connects to the computer. It can send MIDI information. Or you can use something like the M-Audio UNO, which is a USB MIDI adapter.

On the topic of connecting to the computer; one last question:
I have Pro Tools and the original DigiDesign M-Box for home recording, but the M-Box doesn't have any MIDI inputs. What would be the best way to connect the LP to record? Through the audio-out using a 1/4" cable, or should I find a MIDI-to-USB converter?
Sorry for all the questions, but I want to learn as much as I possibly can about the LP.
