Welsh Cookbook & LP

Post by MichaelPeterTrowbridge » Mon Jun 30, 2008 5:40 am

Has anyone tried to reproduce the patches of the cookbook on the LP yet?

I've just purchased one (Cookbook).... Though I haven't received it yet I'm trying to reproduce the cello patch given on the webpage...

Are there any tips&tricks that I need to know? How about the waveforms settings etc.?

I've been able to recreate the Saxophone patch and it's great.

They also sell it through Amazon.com.

The book is amazing, it has a lot of basic theory and the author touches a lot the harmonics theory, which gave me a more deep understanding of my Phatty and how to programs.

How did you translate the waveform values given in PW or %?

Does the patch have the 2nd Oscillator detuned?

Sorry for this maybe to obvious questions, but the results I got from the cello patch were rather disapointing and for the Banjo i simply got the ADSR-part working...

Have you yet tried a cello?

That seems to be /&ç/&%ç difficult...

I'll post an audio sample soon and and try to post the patch for you to download.

I'll try working on the Cello (if I find the cookbook I lost it somewhere).

You could instead of uploading the patch also just give me the rough figures visible in the precision mode... Probably the faster option...

I'd be very interested to hear samples of some of the patches. The list of instruments is long and I'd love to hear which ones sound good and which ones are difficult to reproduce. If anyone's got the time, it'd be awesome to have those on the forum!
