That can't refere to the hiss noise problem, can it?
Wasn't the hiss noise to be solved with an update?
Assar, you are correct - Dave made an incorrect assumption. The noise which is caused by scanning the Envelope section panel buttons must be addressed in software. We are very much looking forward to the opportunity to address this in the next OS update for the tribute edition. There is no question whatsoever; this update will come and it will include an improvement to the noise situation.

See the original "noise" thread for clarification if needed; everything was discussed there the first time :)

@dannymoon,it could be a week if teething troubles are ironed out(im personally not holding much hope, but you never know!),otherwise its going to be a few months as moog are producing a new pedal.

read page 3 of this thread for the latest from Amos.

Amos wrote:Hi all,

LP Stage II's have been shipping since the 6th of May. I don't know who is getting the first ones, but I can't wait to hear what folks think of them.

As for the OS2 for Stage I question, currently it is not possible to upgrade from OS 1.03c on a Stage I, to the new OS... it breaks and requires factory reprogramming. :( This means we still have some work to do.

The good news is, we're working on it. The not-so-good news is that the same 3-person engineering team desperately needs to get to work on the Moog Multipedal, which is supposed to be shipping in a month or so from now.
So, we are going to spend a day or so trying to get the Stage I upgrade working, and then we absolutely have to devote our limited resources to the new product, and start writing Multipedal firmware.

So, if all goes well, we may have a Stage I upgrade available within the next week or so. If it turns out to be more difficult and time-consuming to fix the upgrade process so that it will work on a Stage I, then unfortunately we have no choice but to put the LP S1 upgrade on hold while we finish the Multipedal. In this case, the upgrade will be out in a month or two.

That's the whole story,

-Amos
Does anyone know where the LP Stage II were shipped ? I don't see any retailers listing them in stock...They only show the Stage..Sweetwater does not even list the LP Stage at all anymore ?

hey, either way it's still free, right?

We're working on it today and things are looking good. The major problems seem to have been ironed out and I'm testing all the upgrade paths for possible issues. Hang in there and try to stay positive.

Thanks Amos, I know that you guys are working really hard to get us this amazing OS update.

Is just that I am really eager to get my hands on the new features and just the idea of having to wait for two months seems like torture!

Keep up the good work and thanks for being so deeply involved in these forums.

Best Regards,
Daniel Trejo

No but the earlier Dr. Who series was a cult classic here.

So wait, just to confirm, the OS II update will eventually be available for Stage 1 users sometime during the summer? And the plan is for it to include the arpeggiator function for operation on the Stage 1s?

Wow, the new sounds ROCK. Thanks so much.
And I think you must have as much fun naming them as you do making them. Phony Hohner? Transphatty? That 70's Lead? Awesome.

Also, I'm new (and a lurker for the most part) but I just wanted to say how great it is that someone like yourself, who is so involved in the development of the product, is also so hands-on and engaged in the forums. I don't think I've ever seen this level of accessibility from any company I've ever bought anything from.

Thanks a lot, Amos.

Coming Soon! Read about it now.

Click the link for the user manual addendum for OS 2.0.
You should be able to get a better idea about the changes and new features.

bgm, thank you so much! I'm glad you like the sounds, and yes I did have a lot of fun naming them. I tried to stay away from too many in-jokes and obscure references this time, and use names that would be fun for everybody. Sometimes I think of a really good name and then have to write a patch to match it! :)

I think Phony Hohner and Broken Toys are the most convincing "emulative" (sounding like acoustic instruments) patches I've ever written... and they are very fun to play. I used Phony Hohner for a melodica solo in a live dub jam and it fit the part perfectly.

OK, now read the new manual and get ready for some firmware...
