These are unmastered demos, we've (my wife and I) played two shows thus far that have been fairly well received. I would appreciate any constructive criticism from my fellow moogites! :D

So, I have been working on an OST to a fake movie called "Death Galactic". In short, it is a Sci-Fi/Zombie Horror movie. Basically taking the typical idea of an infection that spreads across a galaxy (28 days later meets any-space-traveling-scifi-movie). I have about 5 songs down. I would like to get to a 3 part storyline with 4 songs to a part. I have part 1 pretty much done. The song Death Galactic is the first song in part 1. String Theory is first song in part 2: http://snd.sc/xp8zGr

Synths used:
Moog LP
Moog Rogue
DSI Tetra & Mopho polychained

Effects:
E-H Cathedral
Strymon El Capistan

Drums:
EZDrummer Vintage Kit

Other than that, some comp and verb in Cubase5. I do not use MIDI. All synth parts are played in realtime with no clock syncing.

Please enjoy!!! :D :D :D

Hey Muksys, this sounds really good!! I love that Cathedral...

Bravo!

PS: I think I had listened to the first one... but it doesn't seem to be from Moog forum... Any clue?

Thanks stiiiiiiive!!

One of the songs (Death Galactic) I did post up here (and on http://dsiforum.org/) several months back, but it was in video form on YouTube. This version is a little bit different. Remixed mainly. but, thanks for the props, yo!

I think you have done a really good job!
:D

There are things that needs to be quantified (as always when you use hardware), synth sounds that are out of sync with the drums.
Do it, and you're home!

Thanks Assar. After you listen to it over and over you get used to it, so i never noticed it as an issue. It probably doesnt help that I didnt include any latency compensation with my DAW... I should fix that.

Im glad you enjoyed it! :)

Little Phatty is doing all the leads on these 4 tracks. Skip straight to the 4th one for best results: http://www.reverbnation.com/moonoverfigureb

So I have finally made a track with my Slim Phatty, it's Drum & Bass, Electro style.

http://soundcloud.com/destination-b/frozen

The Slim Phatty plays the bass-lead that is present throughout the track. Also at the beginning of the track the phatty is used again. I used a lot of Overload on the signal, which I think gives it a very modern and aggressive sound (Just what I was wanting). It has been treated with an EQ and layered with a sub. In the second Chorus I have added a Flanger to make things scream!!!

Enjoy :-)

http://soundcloud.com/flippo/drones-and-piano

A bit of drone/noise with some freejazz. Long drawn out slow burning ambient piece (10 mins) if you feel you've got the patience for it :)

Using the Slim Phatty as a drone style synth for nice phat bass hums and gurgles. MF-104z, Mf-108m and MF-105M in there also, controlled with MP-201.

Jumped on the piano towards the end.

A couple of bits where the signal got too hot and clipped coming back into the box unfortunately, didn't keep eyes on the levels. Shame, because I'd like to polish it off if it wasn't for that.

Still, probably one of my favorite things I've ever done, as it's just the direction I want to head with my music :)
