Latest USB F/W download link dead

Even after updating my Little Phatty SE II accordingly to the latest OS "V3.21S 691", I realized that the USB firmware on my LP was still set to "V32" (the LCD menu shows "VERS:3.21 691/32" whereas the two digits after the slash indicate the USB portion). Of course, the bootloader version was previously checked to read "V1.1" already. Only left to change the USB firmware "V32" which was reported here in this forum to be buggy and to cause major problems in several DAWs. Needless to say that I'd like to have that potential risk minimized as well.

From Amos (and the download links he provided here in this forum) I know that for the LP at least USB firmware "V33" was released already (while V34 is available for the SP). However, when trying to download the related USB loader from the officially provided link (http://seamslikereality.com/moog/LP_USB_v33.zip), any access is denied.

Request forbidden by administrative rules.

I guess this is not the only case; it seems to apply to all official downloads previously made available from the Moog staff. What kind of "administrative rules" do in fact apply then? I can't read anything about such "self-restrictions" in the forum FAQs. Why is it no longer possible to update any Moog gear to the latest available OS/firmware? Is there an alternate support site available for related downloads?

Thanks, Flareless. I'm aware of this article. Unfortunately the related files used for that procedure (and available in hex format - via cloud download) are applicable and available for the Slim Phatty model only (USB V34) but not for the Little Phatty (where V33 is required). I'd also prefer to have the files in the original SYX format like Amos described and provided them in his post. However, do you eventually have the LP_USB_V33 file in either format?

Okay, via pure trial and error approaches I was finally able to find out the actual Moog file space where the latest Slim Phatty USB firmware is located:

So far so good, but:
According to Murphy's law, the latest official USB firmware for the Little Phatty (v33) I'm looking for is not stored there. Why?

Please Moogmusic, Amos or any other Admin responsible for this forum, please help your customers by providing the recent files for their Moog products!

Another approach, as I don't like to give up too soon:

Still I'm looking for the latest USB firmware officially released by Moog for the Little Phatty:
LP_USB_v33.zip (should be containing LP_USB_v33.exe and LP_USB_v33.syx)

As I now found out by the existance of a related ReadMe file, exactly this required USB firmware update was always native part of the official OS update V3.12 for the Little Phatty Stage II:

But exactly this update package is *not* offered anymore by Moog as a download (previously available here: http://www.moogmusic.com/OSv3.1), as OS 3.21 was replacing it later. The consequence is that the requested USB firmware V33 has been unintentionally excluded from any Moog downloads, even if this was always an essential part in the upgrade path. Unfortunately noone from Moog seems to be responding on any user requests, especially if they are related to such "old" products. Not sure why, as Moog owners are Moog owners. Full stop.
To be clear, I'm not going to "un-brick" my device etc., I just wanted to update my gear as it was intended by the development team.

Please, Little Phatty owners, maybe anybody of you can still provide the original OS V3.12 update archive for Windows?

Thanks grenert for that hint, I must have overseen that option when searching the net.
However, looking at that approach a little bit closer, it seems to be related to loading up "hex" files to be used when restoring/repairing the USB board via JTAG hardware. Still I have not bricked my gear , so in fact I'd rather prefer to do an "old-school" USB firmware update (via Moog tools or MIDI-OX) than buying another piece of hardware for about 30 bucks...
But thanks for that information. In case there's no other choice available...

Finally and with special support from Taylor Mott, Service Department Manager from Moog, I was able to update my Little Phatty USB firmware from V32 to V33 successfully. Taylor provided the related file named LP_USB_v33.SYX which I just had to transfer via MIDI-OX to the unit in normal operation mode. Mission completed.

Glad you were able to get going again! Yes, it is a good idea to stockpile these kind of files for your synths in case they vanish online someday. I had done the same, but I only have a Slim Phatty, so didn't have the right version for you.
