Dust cover for playing outside

Post by franklinstower » Sun Nov 08, 2015 5:06 pm

I have a Sub 37 and want to do some music sessions way out in the desert but am concerned about wind and dust ruining it. Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I would like to find a very thin rubber zip-able bag to put it in that was thin enough and transparent enough to play the sub through the material that way Id never have to take it out of the bag. Does anyone do this and what solutions have you used.

Buy a used, sacrificial midi controller. Map as many of the controls as you can to the controller, and keep the Sub37 under as much protection as possible. Then throw the controller away if it gets nasty.
Moog Format Modular
Model D (2016)
Moog Subsequent37
Oberheim OB-6
Sequential Rev2

I was going to post a link to the photo here but it said "Not for reproduction." You can look at it....it LOOKS like it MIGHT be playable with the cover on, but I would second the throw-away midi controller solution. I've seen some going for as low as 35 dollars.

That is exactly what I was looking for. I am pretty sure it is playable- it looks thin enough and see through. I will buy one and check it out. If not I can get the midi board. When I am ready I want to do a show or two a year way out in the dessert at night. I already have two honda generators that are quiet and lots and lots of feet of quality extension cords. Maybe Ill attract a bigfoot with my otherwordly band.
