Little Phatty for Creamy Soft Sounds- Help before buy

Post by carlosg » Sun Aug 09, 2015 7:11 pm

Hi,

FIrst post before ever using a Moog. :)

I am looking to get the warmest of tones for leads and smooth basses for my sounds. Let's say deep house, rnb etc.

Here are a few examples. I bet all of these sounds use a Minimoog D.

http://picosong.com/uf6t/ Rich Harmonics

http://picosong.com/uf6w Wah Type

http://picosong.com/uf6b/ Guess it has noise wave?

Will I be okay trying to get this kind of sound with a LP ? Not looking for monster grittyness but creamy buttery sounds.. Like the ones I uploaded.

One of the sounds I particularly want is the "MEOW" wah knd of sound from the 2nd a 1st. Is that with a moog filter or with a wah pedal?

Thank you!

yeah, those sounds can be wranged out of almost any analong/VA/softsynth. kind of generic really. A Little Phatty will definitity do it.
VoyagerEB, Minitaur, LittlePhattyII, 4xSlimPhatty, Sub37, MF[2x101,2x102,103,104M,105,105B,105M,2x107,108M], 3xCP251, XV351, MP201;
2xMother 32, DFAM, Subharmonicon;
System 55 and Minimoog clones with lots of mods.

:evil: for me your demos did't start from the side, so the tracks must be downloaded, maybe some people do not feel like downloading something.

The exact singing Moog tone in the first one could be difficult for a Little Phatty
the other two are nothing special and as MRNUTTY wrote to simulate with any modern hard or soft synth.
