Post by esmeets » Fri Jan 23, 2015 10:04 am

When I play a D note on my keyboard, the Slim Phatty plays a F note?!
It's has been on for a couple of hours now.

Perform ALL the calibration routines as listed in the SP owners manual ~
Generally makes a HUGE difference!!

One of the joys of true analog synths...
Little Phatty Solar CV, Minitaur, Slim Phatty (x2), MF-101, MF-102, MF-103, MF-104M, MF-105M, MF-108M, CP-251 (x2), Animoog app, Filtatron app, Model D app, Model 15 app...and some 5U modular and Doepfer stuff...

Just to be sure:

Note calibration 12 - 116
Pitch Wheel Amount calibration.
and
OSC2 Frequency Calibration.

right?

Yep, that should do it!
Be sure the SP is warmed up before starting, and center all the tuning adjustments prior to starting the calibrations.

For SP/LP's that are basically kept in a controlled environment all the time (like my situation in a "home studio"), running the cal routines a couple of times a year or so is probably sufficient. I'm guessing you "might" need to run them a bit more often if the synth is subject to a lot of temperature changes (traveling gigs, etc.).

At least, that's been my experience so far with my gear! :D
