Little phatty for polyphonic synth?

Post by Dillonius » Fri May 10, 2013 2:43 pm

I just got an LP yesterday, I'm primarily a guitar player but I won it for free so I figured I should learn how to use it! I was just wondering if when I run MIDI I can play it like a polyphonic keyboard or not. Also any other info for a newbie synth player would be greatly appreciated!

It's midi out will allow you to play another synth polyphonically. The internal synth engine is monophonic whether played with the keyboard or triggered by the midi or CV ins.

Where did you get a free LP? Good for you! The LP even has velocity sensitive keys, which will come in handy for playing poly piano sounds on a midi connected polysynth. Do you have a manual? If not you can download one from the Moog Music site.

I heard some rumors that this is BS...
All kidding aside, it looks to me like their 500 series modules are as close to modular functionality as we are going to see from Moog. As for the other thing? I seriously doubt it at this point. We've been screaming for a poly since forever.

Sorry for borrowing this thread, but I was just going to ask the same question, about the Sub Phatty. Is it the same answer? Does it allow to play other synths polyphonically? I ordered one, but I'm still waiting for delivery (they seem to be out of stock here in the UK), and I started wondering...
