Slim Phatty CV-inputs + Analogue Systems

Im planing to buy the RS200 modular step sequencer (among other things) from Analogue Systems to sequence two Slim Phatties. But the sequencer sends out a 10 volt trigger/gate(?)-signal. (the phatty-manual specifies only a 5 volt gate input..)
I cant find any info on whether or not the Slim Phatty works/survives with a 10 volt gate input in the long run.
I could buy the cp251, but it would just sit inside a rack being used only to attenuate one gate signal, which I think is a waste of money if its not absolutely necessary.

I also tried to find some decent info on the different types of gate signals; gate, pulse, trigger, s-trigger, etc.. I read somewhere that Moog-synths are a little tricky in this area.(?)

Im only familiar with moog-gear so far. This is my first step into the modular world and Im spending all my money on this, so i kinda hope it works the way I plan.

Anyone with some knowledge out there??

For attenuating duties, a simple potentiomer/resistance can do the job, I guess. I let the technical details to specialists though. :wink:

I just read the Theremin Plus "manual". It gives an example on how to use the gate-output(which is 10 volts) to trigger the Little Phatty gate-input.

I suppose 10 volts is fine.

I've emailed moog support some month ago with a similar question.
Here's the answer :
Theoretically, the Slim's Gate jack should be robust enough to handle
+15v. However, I don't recommend doing this for prolonged periods of
time. If you plan using this setup regularly, then a CV attenuator is
an excellent idea. Anything below +6v or +7v, should be safe.

Btw it's really easy to build a DIY CV attenuator.

I suppose I could just make one myself.
An input socket, an output socket and a 50K linear pot.. Does that sound right??

What about shifting/offsetting the 0-to-10-volt-gate 5 volts down to -/+ 5 volt???
In one of the modules Im ordering there is a "shifter" which Im not really planning to use for anything else.
Any thoughts on that?

Well, as long as your input signal is below +6/7v you should be safe no matter what

How did this work out for you? I use the MOOG CP-251s...the Voyager XL, in Eurorack; a Bubblesound LvL+RM module and various other mixers/mults from Analogue Solutions, Intellijel, Manhattan Audio, probably Doepfer...

Very curious about the Analogue Systems Comb Filter module and how it compares with the Moogerfooger Clusterflux and Delay units ~ also concerned that they require a different power supply from Doepfer
