Arpeggiator Clock Problem

Post by kabelsalat » Mon Nov 12, 2012 11:06 pm

Hello,

I recently bought a Slim Phatty (it's my first hardware synth) and I'm having a problem with the arpeggiator.

I've set the clock both to internal - at the DAW's bpm and MIDI (Ableton Live) but the arpeggiator keeps drifting, as if it's not in the right tempo.

Any clues?

Thanks in advance

Hey there, and welcome to the forum!

If you want the Slim Phatty to sync it's arpeggiator to Midi, you need to go into the arpeggiator menu and set the clock to "Midi", not "Internal".

The same applies for the LFO - just go into the LFO menu instead.

These menus are also where you can choose clock divisions (8th notes, dotted 16th notes etc.)..

I hope I understood what you mean correctly, and I hope this helps!

That's right, mine is connected like that. I had some drifting problems, too, but I think it has to do with the USB cable. I have 2 5 meter USB cables, one from Procab and one cheap grey one. The procab cable seems to perform far worse than the cheap one...
