Playing slim with controller USB only?

Hi all

Just got a Slim Phatty (my first synth module) and was wondering if it were possible to play it from my controler using usb only. I have 3 controllers. Three of them it doesn't matter as they have either both (Kurzweil PC3X) or Midi only (Moog Voyager). However I have one of the new Oxygens which only has USB. I checked the settings on the SP and both in and out are Din/USB. I also tried connecting on the computer using the audio/midi setup. Is the USB on the SP for data transfer only?

I don't think you can connect the MAUDIO directly to the SP via usb (that's honestly what MIDI exists for... interconnectability without the need for a driver), but you can totally map the MAUDIO to the SP via your DAW app.
Create a track, set the maudio usb as midi input, and the SP usb as the midi output. Then run the SP's audio output to whatever you want.
I use my PCR-500 to control my LPS2 via my DAW all the time.
Just realize you are adding a few ms of latency with each pass of the data (Controller => PC, PC => SP, SP => Interface, Interface => PC), so be aware of that and how it relates to where in the chain you are actually monitoring the audio.
