Hi all,
did anybody experienced the same problems when connecting a Slim Phatty recently ? (See also attached screenshots)
- Problem: Slim Phatty is not recognized and shown as generic "USB Device" with yellow alarm sign.
- Error message in device manager: "This device cannot start. (Code 10) Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API."
- Background: I have recently upgraded to a new PC (AMD Ryzen 5900, ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero) and now all my synths (including a SUB37) are working well, but the SP is not.
I know the ASUS board had some USB issues in the past. But actually The SP --IS WORKING-- when connected to another Win 10 PC and it is also working with a third party USB extension card. But for me this is not a real solution. If it's the mainboard I really would like to dump it as such issues are not tolerable on high end hardware.
Anyway I am not sure if the mainboard is the problem or the SP USB implementation is bad/incompatible.
I have done already all the usual stuff:
-Installed new BIOS firmware
-install all latest Windows Updates
-Install latest Chipset Driver
-Tried different USB cables, all USB ports, disconnected all other USB devices
Would be nice to read some other experiences and opinions.
Thanks and Cheers
Michael

USB on the Slim Phatty is not the best way ...
Use midi cables instead, which work better for me!
