Hi All,
A few months ago I needed a Theremin to do a couple of video demos and signed one out.
Its wood grain pattern blew me away; it seemed to radiate from the two Volume antenna
connections and then flow to the Pitch connection in a cool, organic way.
After making the demo videos I agonized about buying it. I knew I would get one "someday"
but it wasn't going to be soon. And I still don't know if lots of Ethererwaves are this magic
or if this is one of a kind. I couldn't chance losing it so I sold some gear on eBay and bought it
So now I'm thinkin' it'd be fun to see other peoples' tops. **C'mon... flash 'em**

I am afraid my walnut EW+ does not sport such a beautiful and shiny top. My dealer had only walnuts and was not sure about other finishes available. Ordering through dealer would have meant months of waiting, so I went for the walnut, but it's one like yours I am crazy about.
I visit my dealer every month or so. First unit I see of this color, I snatch it.

One thing thats worth mentioning, as good as the pictures look (or don't depending on your opinion), all the pictures that Ive seen of Moog gear really doesn't do any justice to when you see them in person.
I didn't think the Black Voyagers would look good but they do, and the one thing that I remember being impressed by was the Cherry Etherwave. That thing was pretty, and it didn't really look all that great in the photos that I have seen in catalogs and other places.
Thanks, Dan.

This is a factory upgraded EW Standard, hence the black cabinetry. I don't think you will see one like this unless its a factory/home upgrade because I don't believe that Moog has yet offered the EW+ in black.
The series of pictures that these were taken from were just because at the time the factory upgrade options were very new and there were questions to be answered so I posted a review and used this as a picture, so yes the unit would have to be moved from the rack, as it was just placed there for aesthetics.

Here's my recently built Etherwave Plus Kit. The finish is called red cherry or something like that, but it's more of a reddish brown. Also lurking in the picture are the Voyager, Mopho, DX7, Wavestation EX, Kaoss Pad, and moogerfoogers in the bottom left.
Maybe next time I'll show my rack

So this thing only plays one note?
