Well done! Now I have to buy one. You're totally owed a sticker.

I was, just as this post showed up, saying to my friends "I want an Etherwave, but I wonder if I can mod it for CV..."

Now I need to give Moog more money. And they still owe /me/ a sticker from registering my Voyager :(

You can always buy the kit and DIT.

Or you can buy the old Etherwave and have someone upgrade it for you.

Paia makes a good theremin that you can build from scratch.

This is so right. I've been staring at those schematics for 8 years, scared off by the pitch to cv section. I enjoy when something that seems deceptively inevitable actually occurs. Now we must buy the damn thing to ensure that it's a good idea for Moog. Does anyone want to buy a Korg MS-03? Seriously.

I recently had the wonderful experience of touring the Moog factory, and told the nice folks up there I'd love to see a new rendition of the Pro. Naturally! Linearity, range switch, pitch preview, varying tone colors. Whew. I do understand that it was the curved teak front that made it too difficult to continue. Let's hope this wonderful instrument, the embodiment of theremin technology and artistry in today's terms, finds new life in the near future. I'll be there with antennae on! -- Bobbo

new Theremin

I'm using an Etherwave plus together with a Voyager and a Doepfer Dark Energy. It works very good. However I could imagine that a connection to the digital world via MIDI and/or USB could offer new applications as well.

Doesn't doepfer have theremin controllers?

But yeah, Midi would seal the deal on the Etherwave Plus. Interesting.
WHen I made the poll, I don't know why I didn't think of that.

Not to beat a dead horse...
But you really have to try one of these on your existing Theremin:

Man that thing does seem like it would be pretty awesome, especially for a bass player.

Ive often multiplied my bass guitar signal with the cp251 to run the clean tone to my amp and the other to my talkbox.

Being able to do that and control a synth would be fantastic.

Thanks for the suggestion.

The Guitar version is best for Theremin unless
you're also going to play your Bass through it.
