Etherwave antenna wire connection

Post by dslocum » Sat Jan 28, 2017 6:54 pm

I bought a Paia theremin some years ago and never liked the wire "coat hanger" antennas. So I recently bought a set of Etherwave antennas to retrofit.

Just wondering how the PCB wires are supposed to connect to the fittings that mount in the case. There's obviously an angled 4/40" threaded hole in the fitting, so I'm guessing that some sort of terminal connector is normally used. I haven't been able to find any info or photos.

Could someone please chime in with a quick closeup photo or description ?

Thanks!

A solder lug is connected, via the screw, into the antenna. You then solder your antenna wire to the antenna via the solder lug. Note: Don't loop the antenna wire through the solder lug, just lay it on there and solder it.

Sorry for the delayed reply. Got locked out of the forum.

Thanks. That was helpful. The Moog antennae work great on the Paia.
