MF-401
MF-401
Looking forward to this wonderful thing! Finally, I can make my perfected recorded vocals sound like the unedited garbage! Amazing! Thanks, Moog!
I wonder if we can look forward to a vocoder in the near future?

Of course, the freq box was released shortly after this...can we look forward to a vocoder, perhaps?

Re: MF-401
You know, as soon as I posted that I thaught the same thing.
It really does look like the FreqBox!!
I "for one" would consider a Vocoder.
When I say "consider" I mean "have my payment ready."

Re: MF-401
I wonder if it could de/re-tune this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csZ2n66Vdas
But seriously,"Moog Vocoder" why not? Moogcoder? I made the PAiA one, it's okay. The Korg VC-10 is better

I think it would be really cool if Moog Music made a Bitcrusher! http://www.moogmusic.com/forum/posting. ... f=3&t=9089# Heres an example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k98vAJ5c6FI the reason why this would be cool is cuz no big pedal making companies make bitcrushers.
bitcrusher used on a song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TszmdpUtf0A am i the only one who thinks this effect is better than people think?

If the brain was simple enough that we could understand it, we'd be simple enough that we couldn't understand it.
Re: MF-401
I don't think Moog is famous for digital effects. Though that thing does have some interesting capability, that video made it seem awfully noisy for a digital device. I kinda like this little bit of noise.derekmather wrote:I think it would be really cool if Moog Music made a Bitcrusher! http://www.moogmusic.com/forum/posting. ... f=3&t=9089# Heres an example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k98vAJ5c6FI the reason why this would be cool is cuz no big pedal making companies make bitcrushers.

Re: MF-401
Bitcrushers are cool and all, but they are digital, and Moog makes lovely warm analog products. If Moog does make a vocoder, I bet they will get a lot of sales from Guitar Center "dudes" that think a vocoder is what gives that sick t-pain effect.
So this thing only plays one note?

Re: MF-401
I have to admit, the Vocoder angle tooke me very much by surprise. I wasn't expecting that but most of the ones I've seen lately are within keyboards and that's not great for studio. If Moog can get some of the 'other' crowd to jump onboard, hopefully they'll start moving more of their other products.
I won't be buying one but good to see product development doing new things.
