MIDI MuRF pattern editor released!

Post by Amos » Mon Sep 28, 2009 3:00 pm

Available now, free from Moog Music!

go here and click on the "Software" tab. Available for Mac and PC, and free for anyone to download... although it helps if you already have a MIDI MuRF. :-)

Cheers,

Amos

Have you tried to run the software? I thought it would work on PPC also... but I don't know for certain. Let us know.

I haven't the slightest clue about what that software does, but it sure looks awesome. (just downloaded it to click around on it).

Tomorrow, UPS delivers my Old School and the Midi Murf... so good timing. Thanks in advance for all the hard work in getting this thing finished, testing, documented, etc. It often goes unnoticed how much a core group of you guys at Moog give of yourselves. Hoping that you'll get good press from this add-on and the sales that ought to come with it.

Thanks. Got it. Nice icon for the setup program ;) Now if only my moog dealer can receive some midi murfs to sell me. I'll be cooking some patterns in the meantime.

This looks awesome. I am supposed to work on multi-tracking my various electro-parts for my current band project. All I really want to do is play around with this software....

Moog keeps on enhancing their projects. It will take me life time to exploit what my gear already does...

MF-105M Editor bugs!

Post by moxlust » Wed Sep 30, 2009 2:00 am

Or maybe I'm just an idiot... Just got both the software and the murf, have them connected to a motu midi xpress xt (channel 8 output), added it as a device in Audio MIDI setup, and am not getting luck on any reliable control.. It sputters, but does not lock to beat coming in from an MPC-1000 which is broadcasting beatclock. The midi xpress xt is set to Live Keys mode, allowing merge to all channels.

Everytime I fire up the editor and try to fiddle with the controls I get a small semblance of stuff happenning, then nada. Am I doing something wrong?

I did set the Murf to be on channel 8 )which it is plugged into) and MIDI channel 1. I know signal is being sent via the channel ( I have a MIDI activity sensor that goes off when I make adjustments to the GUI on the editor.) Please help!

THanks in advance, and go easy on me as I just got this and am very sleepyheaded.
