Cool patching for bassguitar, using mf-101-102-107 and cp251

Does someone have a cool patching for bassguitar, using mf-101-102-107 and cp251?
I play Rickenbacker bass and use the stereo output (ric o sound) in to Mesa Boogie Bass 400+, having the moog effect on either the treble or the bass pickup.
Moog Taurus 3
MF-101, MF-102, MF-103(BigBriar), MF-104SD, MF-105M, MF-107, 2x MF CP-251(one with red rings). Minifooger Drive, Minifooger Boost.
Gibson RD artist Bass ( Moog circut and pickups)

Let's see...I'd start by running the bass through the 107, 107 through 101, 101 through 102, Audio Out from 102 through Sample and Hold on CP-251, with the output going to the amp. But that's just me. :D

What id probably do if I could is run the bass into the 107 with an expression pedal on the freq input and the mix set to let more bass through. Sync on.

Then Id probably try to coordinate the envelope followers of the 101/107 to modulate 2 different destinations. like one would modulate something like the mix amount of the 102 while the other could activate the gate of the smoothe sample and hold on the cp251 and route that to the amount of the 102. Id set the 102 to a triangle and turn on the lfo or something.

its really hard to say without trying them out.

You could do the first paragraph and then combine the square wave lfo from the 102 with the square wave of the cp251 in the mixer to create a quazi arpeggio and then use the envelope follower of the freq box to modulate the 102'a mix amount. Multiply your expression pedal to sweep the sync of the 107 and the cutoff of the 101 at the same time or invert one of the signals. Use a smoothe sample and hold on the resonance of the 101.

HOpe you got patchcords!

I'd do the same, but in reverse... :)

But seriously, why not try and put one pickup through the 102 and one through the 107? You could get all sorts of stereo-FM-weirdness.

Grab some patch cords and an afternoon and just go for it.

Thanks for great ideas! I nomally patch bass>107>102>101, and the cp251 all over the place:)
Often adding a Boss Delay(dm2), boss flanger, EH Bassballs, Big muff, Morley power wah boost..and so on...I think I will buy some more patch-cords 8)

I started out as a bass player and I absolutely love the Bass Balls pedal. Do you have the american one or the Soviet?

The envelope followers of these effects are great with a theremin because you have much more dynamic control over the envelope follower voltage.

Have you ever tried the 107 out to the EH BB input for a hybrid synth sound.

The envelope followers track fairly consistantly. THe sweep that both the freq and the BB makes sounds fantastic! Its an excellent little hybrid OSC Filter effect, my only complaint about EH is that it lacks control voltage inputs.

No havn`t tried the 107>EH BB, but will now:) I have the U.S EH BB. What do you have?

I am agree about the lack of voltage input control, maybe that is something we can fix ourselves?

I have the Us version but I wish I had bought the soviet. The Music store pushed me to the US version saying that it was quieter, but I think its the soviet version thats more classic.

THe sweeps from the Envelope followers of those to units seem to sync almost perfectly and they are most noticiable on stringed instruments. The synth doesn't seem to have the same effect on the BB as a stringed instrument. THe theremin is the best though for envelope followers because you can modulate it all day long with the volume antenna.

Its an insane little sound when you couple them together, nice hybrid synth sound, especially when you have the envelope follower sweeping the syncd 107.
