MF-107 FreqBox waveform indicators

Post by waxdoctor » Mon Mar 31, 2008 12:38 pm

dear all,

does anybody know which MF-107 model comes with the waveform indicator scale showing the symbols?

the newer boxes or the older?

because I'd like to buy one of this nice boxes with waveform symbols on.

(I don't like the "digit version" freqbox so much - I guess it sounds a little diffrent ;)))

ridiculous question I know - but...

thanks

You know, I never looked that closely before, but there are two different panel legends on the '107.

My FB (S/N 0806, manufactured & purchased recently) has the waveforms on the panel, so I'd guess all current units have the waveform graphic. Perhaps other FB owners can post their serial numbers to confirm?

FWIW, the picture on the Moog site shows the 'digit' (older?) version:

I remember Moog users, after viewing the prototype at NAMM, requested the original waveform knob be changed from the numeric design to a replica of the Voyager's.

Perhaps there are only a few of the former in existence?

's a shame, the waveform route is alot more fun, visually.
