My clusterflux bypasses my volante... Solved!

Hi!
I hooked up my foogers and effects to a patchbay for some easy patch making in my studio. I hooked everything up to 1/4” neutrik balanced bays. And i get signal going everywhere. So far so fine.

Well... I patched my rhoads to the mf108 and then into my volante. Both bypassed and it sounds fine. Volante active and it sounds great. Mf108 active and it’s heaven but... The volante gets bypassed.
Bypass the mf108 and there is a lovely echo again.
I tried both balanced and unbalanced patch cables (both the strymon and the moog is hooked up with unbalanced cables to the patch bay but hey, it’s worth a shot).

So the only thing i can think of is that the mf sends the signal through either the tip or the sleeve bypassed and switches when engaged.. But it doesn’t make any sense!

*edit: IT IS ALL ABOUT THAT PHASE!

And now, suddenly, just like that, it works. Strange!

I figured it out now! The word is PHASE!

I just built a couple of fancy transformer isolatet split boxes with ground and phase switches. Guess what! The strymon pedals go quiet when the phase is flipped. The sides cancel each other out.
Duh! :D

And now I remember reading that the foogers stereo trick is basically phase inversion. Problem solved!
