used MF107 doesn't seem right to me

Postby stewdio » Fri Sep 29, 2017 5:24 pm

I just bought a second hand FreqBox and I'm not sure it's working right... It doesn't really sound good which is kind of the opposite of my other 3 foogers and moog synth haha...

When I play my 37 through it mixed 100% dry it sounds a fair bit darker than it does in bypass and when I have it set 100% wet even using the triangle waveform it's pretty distorted and the range between ramp and asymmetrical pulse doesn't make any sound without the envelope control being turned up...

I understand that this box is a weird one but it strikes me as though it's not working correctly - can anyone confirm with their 107?

Thanks!
Stew

It cuts high frequencies indeed, no worries about your unit. here is a thread: https://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11055
And everything else you described is "normal" too. For my Fbox at least
