I've just bought my new MURF MF 105, can anybody tell me how to sync the rate of the filters with an external (master) clock? many many thanks!

Yes, but to sync. to a MIDI clock, you'd have to convert the MIDI clock into an "analog" pulse. I think the link I gave has a project that would probably accomplish this.
