I know this is brand new but has anyone tried this with a cp-251 or moogerfooger? Seems like a good companion to both. What are some of the CV possibilities?

It's a fairly new product, so it's hard to say how it's going to be used with MFs, but it's interesting how it's a great CV sequencer, and a different option to the Doepfer Dark Time, Analogue Systems Oberkorn, or any other CV sequencer. It looks like you get different time signatures/speeds with the sequencer itself, but while the other sequencers I mentioned are more dedicated to allowing a small arsenal of CVs to be controlled, this looks like it's a more basic setup. I think if you really need 2 to X (I have no idea how many MFs you'd want to throw at this thing) CV devices to control, you'd be nuts not to have a CP-251 to help you out.
Keep your eyes and ears on this unit, and I'm sure it's going to go well in anybody's setup, especially for sequencing their MFs, Slim/Sub/Phattys, or Minitaur. If it's under $400, I'm getting one!

Has anyone seen a spec for the max voltage level of the CV out? The Ehx manual lacks that detail. For the price, looks very interesting, but depends a bit on the actual CV voltage produced. 0-5V? 0-10V? +/- 6.2 V ??

Hi everyone
got the 8 step for some weeks now, works great with MFs and CP251.
i was looking for a small cv generator and ended up with it as it's quite cheap.
cv out is 0-5V by the way.
this little thing is very useful, at least for my needs.
i use it all the time now, with 101, 102, cp 251 and my modified moisturizer.
didn't buy the foot controller, you already have 10 presets which is enough as long as you don't want to make "songs".
now i'm wondering if i should get another one or go for another cp 251...or go modular...or go serge...
damn!

Welcome Tarrisuoc!
My 8-step is having a ride in a truck on the way to my place right now
I'm sure this is a funny bit a gear, can't wait to send some simple sequences to some analogue oscillators!!

I hope you got the one with 'new' code. Bug fixes and some behavioral changes...
See here:

If not, best to refuse delivery and only buy a fixed/working pedal; you'll be without it either way!

Mine is on its way already. Provided the date of the topic, I think it'll be ok. Will check anyway, thanks for pointing this out

I have a v1 OS
Now, how long do I wait to see if any more bugs pop up and are fixed before sending it back in?

It depends on whether you do or do not use MIDI, and whether how bad you want the new features.
