Moogerfooger Training DVD...

Post by Stuka » Thu Jan 10, 2013 5:54 pm

SO, for us Fooger "noobs" with way too much gear -

Is the Moogerfooger Training DVD worth trying to find a copy?
Pros / Cons / shortcomings?

Thanks!

Only if you dont understand what they do by reading the manual. Nova Musik gave me one for free when I bought the bundle eons ago. Pay for shipping and its yours :D I watched once because my wife wanted to understand what things did. I recall her telling me she never finished watching it LOL

I guess she wont understand the need to make annoying sounds?

Appreciate the info - I'll stick with the manuals for now.

Pretty sure my wife has ZERO interest in anything concerning my MoogerFoogers!!! :P

Hi Randy, I found both DVDs very helpful~ the Voyager one too ~kind of like my favourite parts at the ends of the manuals that show you CV examples ~ but if you are looking to save money just do a web search ~ you can watch many if not all these tutorials online

Ah, the good old days. One of my first tasks when I became marketing manager at Moog was to get the FreqBox segment filmed and get the DVD packaged and shipping.

Coincidentally, now that I am out on my own, I just added a Moogerfooger video page to my newly redesigned site. Looking at some advanced techniques, these are not so much "tutorials"... more like "inspirationals".

Enjoy,

Anybody has the training DVD? I'm trying to buy it online but there aren't any sellers shipping to Canada...

Chris,
I might have told you this before, but that first freebie Sonic Infinity DVD was directly responsible for me purchasing the Voyager, the 104z, and the 102. Prior to that I had written off the foogers as guitar pedals.

When Brian demonstrated the Voyager's polyphonic keyboard with that Midi synth and then turned the Oscs on, that was my WOW moment.

The investment in those free dvd's probably made the company a lot of money.

It's kinda out of date.

As I recall there is no reference to any of the new MIDI pedals, and the explorations are not super in depth on the pedals. It's just sort of a cursory glance through most of them.

I guess that's a good thing, because the more time you spend investigating the possibilities of the pedals the more discoveries you make to reward you for the effort.
