104z low volume

Post by gibson » Thu Sep 13, 2012 3:48 am

Hi, my 104z delay has a problem, frequently the volume in general is really low and not affected by the drive knob, and usually removing the power supply and switching on again solves the problem but it's not funny in a live situation! I have two of this pedals that I love, the first one had problems with delay repetitions now fixed, and now this one... maybe someone can help, thanks.

Ok... nobody knows, this pedal is really a mysterious object, so nice and unpredictable...

Hey Gibson...

indeed I don't know. You may want to join MoogMusic tech support. Good luck, stick with the delay :)

Hi,
My delay exhibited both of those problems. First it wouldn't self-oscillate, and then it had virtually no repeats, 4 max.
Sometimes a power cycle would do it.

THeres two different issues working here, first, the jumper pins on the daughter board can short out on the chassis. Second, there is a resistor that may need to be installed on the output. Protection diodes are supposed to fix that problem, but yes, you need to contact Moog about BOTH of your delays, and make sure that they have the diodes installed.
