Hi,

Here's something for old science fiction movies aficionados (I hope :-) – the latest patch from my weekly sketches. MoogerFoogers MF-107, MF-102, MF-105, CP-251 + TC Electronic Flashback, and reverb from Ableton. CP-251's noise into Murf (slow rate) to create ambiance, MF-107 fed its own OCS Out as audio source then fed into Ring Mod. CP-251 S&H 1 into MF-107's frequency in (via Attenuator & Lag Processor). Flashback in the FX loop of a 4-channel mixer. MF-102's Carrier Out into the mixer as well. Hope you enjoy it:

Here's another one. This time with MF-107, MF-102 & CP-251 + TC Electronic Flashback. I don't have a VCA, so to achieve some kind of separation between notes (as well as a short envelope), I'm using CP-215's triangle wave as audio source for the Freqbox. By turning the Drive knob, I'm able to go from mellow, whistle-like sounds, to short, percussive tones.

I really dig stuff like this. I guess it's all those years of listening to Hendrix.

You can use your 102 as a simple VCA. I had to just break down and buy a dotcom envgen and vca because I was tired of running those signals to my board and then have to adjust the volume in and out to mute stuff.

With the Moog stuff the quality of the sounds produced is every bit as professional as the stuff you hear on tv.

I subscribed.

Thanks a lot!

I tried the Lord of the Ring Mod method, and a couple of others, similar, but nothing worked satisfactorily for me. I always had at least a bit of bleed through…

I'm going to Berlin at the end of the month, and will probably return with a Doepfer Mini Case + A-131 VCA. I'd really like to add Make Noise Pressure Points, but I doubt I'd be able to afford it in a month or two.

Many thanks, EricK! I was stoked to see you in my SC Followers section. I've been a fan of your YT videos for quite some time – it reminded me to finally subscribe to your channel :-)

Thanks, man!

I'll probably record something today/tomorrow – I was just about to sell my MP-201 (haven't seen much use till now), when I thought about a nice patch synced via tap tempo… The patch is still on paper, and in my head only now, but I guess, I won't be selling the MP-201 for some time :-)

This sounds very cool! I like the double faced character of it: very rythmic and ery slowly evolving too.

I remember having obtained such an atmosphere during a session with a experimal drummer once: he uses many objects on his piezzo'ed snare drum, and I sample him and add some FX/synths. I once used a Monotron and some delay on his rythms and we had those frenetic bouncy stuffs lying on a slowly up and down synth wave… that was cool.

Nice work:)

I thought I won't be starting a new thread with every new upload. So here goes another patch.

This time I wanted to make use of the Tap Tempo sync of the MP-201, but ended up with a much simpler, but quite nice, rhythmic patch. The MP-201 is providing two different S&H LFO's to Freqbox's and Ring Mod's frequency ins, and a triangle wave as audio in for the Freqbox. The expression pedal of the MP-201 is controlling the amount of the S&H. Everything synced via Tap Tempo. TC Electronic Flashback for the delay, and a touch of reverb from Ableton. Hope you like it:

Posting while listening is sometimes the best way to translate impressions on the topic...

Hi guys,

Here's another one.

MF-107, MF-102, MF-105, CP-251 + TC Electronic Flashback + Boss DR-110. MF-105 used as a resonant filter for the drums (no animation this time), MF-102 as a drone in the background, MF-107 as the main oscillator. It's frequency is controlled by CP-251 S&H. Experimenting with various ways to tame the S&H using different Trig signals (this time - trig out from the DR-110, that way they're synchronized) and S&H In signals (here: only the positive side of the slowest triangle LFO from the CP-251). Some FM modulation in the middle of the track. No sequencer, no keyboard.

Hope you guys like it: http://soundcloud.com/shortsleeves/blog ... rpnia-2012

Let me know what you think.

Lukasz
