So, I was talking to amos @ moog, and found out some interesting stuff. I've always wanted a moog vca with midi, and I think this might be a good substitute.
The new moog minitaur has cc control over all parameters on the front, which means:
1) Midi-synced tremolo - you can draw your own waveshapes and send those to the volume pot. You now have midi-synced tremolo!
2) Midi-synced low-pass filter - same as above, but you send it to the filter. I think it's a 4-pole filter though, so it's a little darker than 2-pole. No wah-style sounds or high-pass, but this is still cool. Great for providing moving filter/texture over your guitar/bass lines.
3) Midi-synced adsr - always wanted midi-synced volume swells or fadeouts? Now you have them!
I'm really excited about this! It's going to replace two pedals on my board, and saves me the cost of buying a low-pass filter.
