My Fooger/SP case

Post by fishman77 » Mon Feb 06, 2012 2:31 pm

Hello all. I'm working on a portable rack for my Foogers, Slim Phatty, and 2 patch bays. Thought you might like to see the progress. I should have it back this weekend from getting the carpet glued on and can get the gear installed. Of course I have about 80 more plugs to solder for the cables. Enjoy!

Hope the link works.

That thing is going to weigh a ton when loaded up. I hope you already are prepared for that.

Yeah I was trying hard to make it weigh less, but it didn't really happen. I'm thinking it'll still work well on my a-frame stand or an x-stand.

Awesome. I was looking for a solution to this issue as well. I only use 3 of my foogers live, so I just use the rack mount kit and set it on a mixer stand with castors.

The case is finished (aside of some metal corners I'm waiting for). I decided to go ahead and get the Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2+. I've heard a lot of great things about it. So that and lots of soldering is next.

I tried to attach the pics, but it wouldn't work.

You should dump Crescendo to get more cash for MoogerFoogers or maybe a Minitaur : )

(I've got 15 of those down my basement; it's a sickness worse than Modulars)

That looks like a beautiful and elegant solution! BTW - your workshop looks so well organised and neat, I really must clean mine up! :D

Thanks, I'm psyched about getting the thing wired up. I have to give the workshop credit to my dad on that one, it's his garage. Mine is way too small to build things. I did help organize it once upon a time... :-)

Also my dad's. He is selling that one actually, of course there's another and various other games.

The case is done and it turns on! :-) Now for lots of testing and cleaning up the cabling some. Here's a link to the pics:

Did you put it on the scale yet? What does it weigh? I am curious to know! :D

I did this morning and it's approx 75lbs. A little heavier than I'd hoped, but not too ridiculous.

No, that's not bad. Weighs as much as my Farfisa, but it's still less than the Taurus 3 in a road case.
