Having now had the opportunity to try one of these units, I can honestly say this is one amazing piece of technology.

I was able to perform John Cage's Symphony in Four Movements for Deep Contemplation (opus 27) in its entirety, without overdubs using one of these.

Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to open the case, so I can't throw any light on the question of how it actually works. One theory is that it creates a delay and produces a mirror image of your sound in perfect phase, thus neutralising every wavelength with perfect accuracy. I'm inclined to suspect it's something much simpler, such as a VCA, which would have the advantage of extremely low power consumption.

One technical point I did notice is that the signal to noise ratio of this unit is the most spectacular of any piece of kit I've ever seen in forty years of making electronic music.

You missed... nothing. ;-)

I had one but it left me feeling very empty. Eventually sold it on for an MF-666... now that's a helluva pedal!
