Hi all mooger, regarding the Freqbox, and i was wonder if the osc out on the rear panel is referred to the raw audio out of the vco or the cv referred to the pitch of the internal oscillator... My intention is to plug a guitar into the freqbox then take the osc out from rear panel and feed the Osc Pitch cv input of the backpanel of my voyager, in order to control the pitch of the voyager with the guitar...and i wont try it because i'm afraid that if its' audio rather than cv voltage, the excess of voltage could ruin the voyager pitch input...any suggestion?
Nico
Freqbox CV out?
Freqbox CV out?
Voyager electric blue, Vx-351, Cp-251, Ring modulator, Murf, Phaser, Freqbox.
Re: Freqbox CV out?
The OSC out is the audio from the freqbox - the freqbox has a CV _in_, but what seems to be pitch-tracking is actually just a sync function,
the osc is more-or-less hard sync'd to the input.
The CV ins on Moog stuff are generally pretty robust, and take audio in.
So,probably won't blow up Voyager, but won't work like you want - the Freqbox does not do pitch-to-voltage, best to get a guitar->midi converter for that sort of fun.
