you'll need a Y cable for one of them as well. I can't remember if it's included with the package. I think so.

Thank you for your help seank! My beloved wife just informed me that the parcel has arrived today. What do I need the Y cable for? Anything else i need to consider?

Looking at the specs you will need their reverse polarity cables as the Voodoo labs standard cables seem to be -ve tip.

Has anyone tried a Gator Pedalboard Power supply with their foogers?

The murf and delay need to be plugged into outputs 5 and 6 I think (the ones with higher current), the freqbox needs the y cable. The mp-201 can be powered using the outlet. Big money.

Oh yeah, and you need all the white barrel reverse polarity connectors for all of the foogers.

Sorry for my ignorance, why does the freqbox need a Y cable?

a Y cable is usually used to combine mA from 2 outlets......so if one outlet is 9V 100mA & the other is 9V 100mA, you can use a Y cable to get 9V 200mA.

It doesn't really....but it needs more than 100mA....most power supplies like the PP2+ and Cioks DC10 have half the outputs only pushing 100mA....so you need to combine a couple to get what you need.

MoogerFoogers pull between 200-300mA

I've been doing some more research and looking at different options. The Voodoo Labs PP2+ is problematic; expensive in Australia compared to some other options and trying to get it with the appropriate power config for my country online (looking at cheaper options of sourcing it) I am currently putting in the "too hard basket" The CIOKS DC-10 is a handsome looking unit, but once again, expense in Australia. The BBE Supa charger on the other hand I can get for much cheaper and seems to be pretty well featured also...and it has universal power supply switchable to Au current and a standard kettle-type lead power input. The main pain with all of these options is having to source extra 'reverse polarity' positive-tip 2.1mm cables for the Foogers. Has any one just sliced, reversed and spliced the original cables to suit?

The Voodoo part# is PPAP for the current-doubling Wye.
You'll need two of them for the "Magic 6" set of Foogers.

MF-101 (100mA) Voodoo #1 @100mA
MF-102 (100mA) Voodoo #2 @100mA
MF-103 (100mA) Voodoo #3 @100mA
MF-108M (300mA) Voodoo #4 @100mA & Voodoo #5 @250mA
MF-105 (240mA) Voodoo #6 @250mA
MF-107 (200mA) Voodoo #7 @100mA & Voodoo #8 @100mA

I have the MF-104Z (300mA) on my Phatty.

I took a simple 9V, 2A power supply, bought a bunch of connectors and wires, and spliced/soldered the original power supply cable into 8 breakout cables turning one wire into 8... I use it to power a CP-251, MF-101, 102, 104z, 107, and 108M with two left over for future expansion.

So long as your total amperage from all foogers doesnt exceed the power supply rating, you should be fine... I cant say if this is a noisy solution though (I cant tell because my studio gets so much RF the MF-101 is practically un-useable even on its own PS)... I do notice a high pitch noise when patched through the patch bay though... Not sure if its due to the patch bay or the power supply though as I put them together at the same time.

The Voodoo PP2+ outlets are all isolated from each other which provides absolutely noise-free power.

Well, my Cioks DC-10 is on the way. I was impressed CIOK's service when I emailed their website confirming suitability & flex cable type needed and within 1/2 hour Poul Cioks replied personally. For future information/reference, the red flex type 2 cables are needed and here is what he sent me regarding hook-up:

MF-101: 9-15V DC / max. 100mA        outlet 1
MF-102: 9-15V DC / max. 100mA        outlet 2
MF-103: 10-15V DC / max. 100mA        outlet 3
CP-251: 9V DC / 100mA            outlet 4
MF-107: 9V DC / max. 200mA        outlet 5
MF-104Z: 9-12V DC / max. 200mA        outlet 6 @ 12V
MF-105 (MuRF): 9V DC / max. 300mA    outlet 7
MF-108M: 9V DC / 300mA        outlet 9

I don't have a CP-251 or Delay (yet CP-251 will be next/soon!) but this unit should suit me very well, I'm hoping!

In three letters : DIY

All my Foogers, one synth (atm) and a sequencer are powered by a single Nintendo 3.5 amp switching power supply (got it for free). I installed a Sermos connector on the output, to which I plug in a variety of Y or 4-to-1 connectors (Sermos on one end).

In order to keep the cost low, I usually cut off the lead of the wall-wart that came with the original device, so the connector is free and always a good match. I also have a few leads with a simple voltage regulator circuit built-in (7809) to make sure I don't overpower those designed for 9 volts. One such lead can easily power 3 of the lower consumption foogers without heating problems, but most foogers don't mind 12 volts.

DIY makes it easy to deal with the polarity issue, I have a few Roland units in the chain. Some of the leads have have a switch built-in : I don't like to keep power on for the stuff I don't use, and a switching power supply consumes next to nothing when you don't draw from it.

Last thing, the 12V power supply can be replaced by a 12 volt automotive battery, which helps deal with ground or 60 hertz humming issues.

Question for you guys on this...So I have a 108M and 107 on the way, and I've already got a 105M. How would I be able to use a PP2+? Could I get away w/this config?

Also, in regards to the reversed polarity power cables, does it matter which device the grey end of the power cable goes into? Many thanks!
