MF-106?

Post by bloodsample » Sat Oct 16, 2010 2:03 pm

Hi,

I'm sure this has been addressed before but I did a search (both here and google) and couldn't find anything. I'm new to moogerfoogers so please forgive me if this is a dumb/obvious question.

Why is there no MF-106 in the line? I noticed the 'foogers go from 101 to 105 then jump to 107. Is there a particular reason 106 was skipped over? Or was there a 106 that I'm not aware of that got discontinued? I know they're just model numbers but I'm just curious.

Cheers!

i could be wrong but wasnt the MF-106 an april fools joke??
wasnt the gap then left for people to speculate over what the missing `fooger SHOULD be?? :?

I've also wondered what the MF-106 would/will be.

From the KnobTweak Moogerfooger database:

"Why did Moog skip the MF-106 in the Moogerfooger lineup? The Moog folks would have to provide the definitive answer here, but one thought is that by jumping over the '106 model number, Moog created a hole in the product line that opens up speculation as to what it might have been (i.e. the 'missing' device that never saw the light of day) or what it might be (i.e. it's still in development and not ready yet)."

Haven't you guys heard about the soon-to-be-released MF-106? It's a Juno-106 in pedal format. The only difference is that the filter is a classic Moog ladder.

I've heard it's going to be release at the beginning of April next year.
