Long story short,
I have MPC-X that's notorious for not keeping midi tempo exactly in sync, so the midi tempo I receive is always a bit off. Let's say I expect 120bpm, but I receive 119.1 - 120.3 that constantly varies. I can see it also happening on Waldorf Iridium, so it's definitely not a Moog's bug.
What I am experiencing though is a sound distortion on long notes when using this midi sync. It's like the sync is affecting somehow the oscillators. Anyone ever experienced this?

are you sure you're not triggering the same note twice? one local and a duplicate through MIDI?

Thanks, @sugar; I thought about it but confirmed that nothing is coming in from MIDI besides the clock. It feels weird and only happens when playing legato. I have a theory about that - could it be that the patch I am playing has one or more LFOs configured to sync with the clock, and when the MIDI tempo fluctuates, it starts messing with the tone?
