Creaky keybed

Post by Captain Willard » Thu Apr 29, 2021 4:51 pm

Hello:

I just received my Moog One 16 a couple days ago and I've noticed that some keys are mechanically creaky sounding if that makes sense. It's not all keys just a handful that creak if you slightly move your fingers back and forth while holding a note or if pressure is applied for after touch. I don't think I've ever had any synth that did that new and it sounds like creaky plastic.

Thanks

Yes, my MO16v, too.

Some keys are creaky sounding if you slightly move them.

I got a nonlinear labs C15 (it´s half of the price) - there is nothing like this - a very good
quality (FATAR too).

A future request and a must in this value.

Hi there, i had same super creaky noise over the full key 1 year ago when i buyed new. At moog they said that is a common thing in the brand new units, and after a while it would disappear with time.
It is :) Mine now is ok, is very disappointing at the beginning, but it will disappear with time and i0ve heard a lot of m one user with this issue solved with time. Cheers.

Mine seems to come and go. Humidity? Temperature? Who knows?! I've never had this issue with other Fatar ketbeds before.

Perhaps they asked for it to have that 'vintage keybed' feature as well. ;)

Mine is still creaky after 2 years.
