Syncing One arps w/DAW
I’m relatively new to recording synths. When recording audio I’m struggling to sync arp patterns on the One in Ableton 10. I know I can go in and edit and warp them, but it’s still never perfectly locked in with the beat. It’s driving me crazy! What am I missing? I’d prefer to accomplish this via audio vs midi. Anyway to make this easier? Thanks!

I think what you're missing is that MIDI isn't currently working 100%. I think it should be fixed in the next firmware.

Could be. Any idea if the midi clock out is working? If I could sync my mother 32 to the One that would help immensely. That said I couldn’t get that to work either.

Not sure, I haven't tried. I've been holding off on any MIDI since it's glitchy at the moment.

First time post. M1 one for about 6 weeks. Tried to post this in the feature requests but can't figure out how to start a post and not reply to one.
The main thing issue I have so far with the M1 is the design of the SYNC. You should be able to put the master clock on external and then it would not run UNTIL it sees external clock. that way a sequence or anything sync'd too the master clock would start at the beginning and be in time. The way it is now it will only go to external once it starts seeing clock. Which means the master clock and with whatever is sync'd to it is running, and then once clock comes in from Pro Tools or any DAW its tries to latch onto the clock and jitters until it gets it. This makes no sense. I have used synths upon synths, Modulars, Sequencers galore. This makes the M1 almost impossible to sync to a DAW and should be changed.

Yes there’s a lot to be desired here in the sync department. I’m just holding off on anymore attempts until these issues are addressed, which I’m confident will be. In the mean time I’m just playing and programming, which is a joy in and of itself.

midi timing and sync have definitely been reported and acknowledged. So, we should see improvement/fixes at some point in the not to distant future.
