Sub37 in Duo mode -> Pattern SEQ != REC ?

Post by KoSV » Wed Nov 11, 2020 10:12 am

Hi moog,

I love the seq real time record mode on the sub (I wish it would be possible on the M32 too!).
In MONO MODE everything is how it should be.
But in DUO MODE one of the voices sticks to a note when we are in Pattern REC state.
Only if we switch to pattern SEQ state the pattern plays normal.

Is this by design or is it a bug or will it be fixed/changed someday?

Thank you! greets

REC is only used to record a sequence.
Not to play it back.
You use SEQ when playing back a sequence.
That should work like that.

Not sure if Moog intended it to work different in REC mode than in SEQ mode, but for playing back you should use SEQ mode.

thank you for the answer,
but this behavior doesn't make any sense.
why should SEQ und REC sound different? what is the purpose of this??
in live situations it makes far more sense to switch seamlessly between rec and play mode and jam without the annoying steady note..
please moog, fix this.

There will be a reason behind it.
Because they made it that way.
But I have no clue.
