Hello, just received my new sub 25 and have a midi question. Right now I use a Minitaur that is controlled by a Roland Spd-SX via midi, in order to trigger an acoustic drumset. I have the Roland program changes selected so that every time I want to switch presets on the Minitaur, I change kits on the Roland pad and I’m able to see everything digitally and know what preset I’m on.
My question is, now that the sub 25 has arrived, I’m hoping to use a midi selector box (so I can have both synths hooked up to the Roland) and be able to use the first 16 presets from the Minitaur via the Roland and then switch to the sub 25 for presets 17 and on.
The reasoning behind 16 presets is because I realized when using program changes with the sub 25 and the Roland, it stops at 16 because the sub 25 only stores 16 presets. So when I switch to the sub 25 (via midi selector box) on the 17th preset how can I make kit #17 on the Roland become Preset #1 on the Sub 25?
I feel this pertains to most synths in a general way, I’m just fairly new to midi and not even sure if this is possible. Thanks for reading and thanks for your time.

Re: Subsequent 25 midi question
You probably need to translate the midi message between the 2 instruments.
Or try if you can find an option in either the moog editor or the roland one (if there is) that can do this.

There is no hardware I can think of solving this problem.
keep on turning these Moog knobs
Sequence:
Prodigy * minimoog '79 * Voyager * MF102 * MF103 * MF104z * MP201 * Taurus 3 * Minitaur * Sub Phatty * MF105 * Minimoog 2017+ MUSE * One 16

I’d suggest using something like a Morningstar MC6 to connect the three instruments. You can set up a single button to scroll PC numbers on multiple midi channels and within specified upper and lower values independently for each channel. You could probably even program it such that changing patches on the Roland determined what was sent out the the other two instruments from the MC6 if putting the Roland first in the chain.

Re: Subsequent 25 midi question
I think MidiSolutions make quite customizable boxes...
Otherwise, a cheap alternative would be to have the first 16 Minitaur presets silent so that only the Subsequent 25 is playing when one of those is selected. However, that would work only of selecteing a preset after #16 on the Subsequent 25 makes it silent too.
Just thinking outloud.
