Moog Subsequent 37: LFO Triplets out of sync

Post by melody white » Wed Oct 02, 2019 6:19 am

Hello Sub Users,

I’m having a sync issue with the subsequent 37. When synced to an external midi clock, all the rhythmic values of the LFO’s and the arpeggiator are perfectly on time, except for the triplets, they are a bit behind. Anybody experiencing the same?

I'm not sure if I'm facing the same problem.
I would like to have my sequencer (or lfo) split the BPM (clock) in three.
So every beat of the external clock is divided in three notes.

I can make it beat like this without syncing to an external clock, but not when I'm synced to a clock.

So when the LFO 1 is set to 1/8 and LFO2 to 1/8T, it beats like I want (123,123,123,123)
But I can't get it to match a 1 2 3 4 beat. (1 23,223,323,423) that is coming from an external clock.

Hope I made myself clear :)
(and hope there is a solution)
Otherwise I can try to make a video.

I might have to change the timing setting in my daw.
Since that also should make different divisions.
I will check tomorrow evening.
Already far too late (again)
So much to try with the S37 :D :D

That did the trick for me.
In short, you set the DAW to 12/8 and your beat pattern is 12 long.
*kicks on 1 . . 2 . . 3 . . 4 . .
Sequencer of the Moog on 1/16 (no triplet)
I wrote a post about it here.
