Moog Sub Phatty Oscillator Octave Problem

Post by Nutbeard » Sat Jul 07, 2018 6:02 am

I have a Moog Sub Phatty and I love it, but now the Octave Switch knob of oscillator 1 is not doing anything anymore. Oscillator 2 is doing just fine.
I have tried updating the firmware, but still the problem persists. When I connect it with USB to the computer, I can change the value in the Editor software and then it works how it's supposed to. Just the physical knob doesn't do anything anymore.
Is this fixable?

Bump on this one, I have the same problem with my Sub 37. It appeared in the last few days, after a couple of years of owning it without any problems.
Anyone know a fix or why this happens?
noise, drones, fuzz, delay, filter sweeps, feedback and low frequencies - that's love.

Have you yet checked the switch itself electronically?
You may ask someone with a minimum of electronic skills to do this for you.
keep on turning these Moog knobs

Sequence:
Prodigy * minimoog '79 * Voyager * MF102 * MF103 * MF104z * MP201 * Taurus 3 * Minitaur * Sub Phatty * MF105 * Minimoog 2017+ MUSE * One 16

I have the exact same issue with my SubPhatty. Did anyone get it fixed?

Mine just went out again after 4 years of getting the other one fixed.

Sub Phatty here, I'm on the same boat. Octave knob of second osc stopped working. Meanwhile the software know is doing its job. It seems to be a knob issue.
