How to make Arpeggiator go faster?

I'd like to get chiptune-like hyper fast arpeggios using the Subsequent 37's arp, but the fastest it will go is 250bpm which seems to be 8th notes and isn't nearly fast enough.

A work around is to hold down sync/tap, and tap in something faster. However, its still difficult to tap in the speed I'm looking for, and there is a bug when I try to save that speed to a preset. When I hit save, the Arp won't play at all (like its in sync mode waiting for midi clock rather than tap tempo mode?). I have to turn off sync, turn off the arp, turn back on the arp, and now it is back at the sluggish ( ) 250 bpm.
