Subsequent- restoring factory presets?

Post by lordradish » Sun Feb 11, 2018 1:05 pm

After messing around with a few new preset lists, I think I want to go back to square one... is there a way to restore the factory presets on the Subsequent?

Yes, register and download the free editor/librarian from Moog.
Download the factory preset SysEx files.
You can transfer them using that software.

Edit. Sorry realise you’re using the Subsequent. The updated editor for that will be released soon I believe.

If you have the factory SysEx files you can use freeware MIDI SysEx software to transfer to the Subsequent.

Unfortunately, I don't have the files. Thanks.

As a new user of the Subsequent 37 I too am wondering about this.

The Moog web site only has a Sysex file for the Sub 37, not the Subsequent.

When will the editor be updated for the Subsequent? The e-mail I received when I registered the synth said "soon", which is a bit vague. I would have expected it to be available to coincide with the release of the hardware.

The new factory presets are supplied in the new Editors for the Subsequent synths, see:
