Sub 37 external midi to usb
Sub 37 external midi to usb
Hello everyone! My question is if you can let the Sub 37 "convert" an external midi signal so that it can send it via usb to my computer (the midi in of my soundcard isn't working properly right now for some reason and I want to connect my piano to a software that needs a midi connection). Thanks in advance!

Check page 35 of the User's Manual
In MIDI menu 2.x you can set the functions of the DIN MIDI In and Out and the USB In and Out ports. If you set all of them to "Both" you'll activate all the MIDI ports and have them Echo their signals to one another.
This should accomplish your goal.

Thank you. It is kinda working, but not really. I can only play one note at a time and then I have wait until the tone decays after some seconds. Really weird.
Re: Sub 37 external midi to usb
Another option would getting a cheap USB MIDI interface. I think you can get one for about $10-15.
Re: Sub 37 external midi to usb
The thing is that I actually already have a Tascam US 16x08 audio interface but the midi input isn't working right now and I would like to find a short term solution until I get it repaired. Sorry for potential misunderstandings. Thanks for the tip anyway!
