Sub 37 Program change with Arturia Beatstep Pro

Hey Guys,

I have a setup that involves:

Sub 37 x 1

Slim Phatty x 1

Being sequenced by an Arturia Beatstep Pro x 1

I wanted to be able to command program changes from the beatstep pro,

I have no problem doing that for the phatty using the Arturia Midi control center and the beatstep pro in control mode,

But I've been struggling to do it for the sub 37,

I know it involves:

CC 0 - Bank Select MSB
CC 32 - Bank Select LSB
And then a program change command

And I've tried all sorts of combinations to no avail.

Can you please guide me through the process or if there's any documentation readily available it would be great as well,

Also, could you please use a practical numerical example?

For ex: I want to go to bank 4, preset 16, what would be the commands and CC values that I need to use?

I've been around synths for a few years, but It wasn't until recently that I've gained interest in Midi CC, so please bear with me.

I've posted in the Arturia form, sent an email to Arturia, and to [email protected] (not sure it's the right email to send to in that case but I was hoping that at least I would be redirected to some the right contact).. 1 month ago and nothing so far..

What happens when you try changing presets with the Beatstep Pro? What values are you using for CC#0 (Bank MSB), CC#32 (Bank LSB), and program?

There's a bit of a disconnect in the concept of a BANK between the Sub37 front panel and MIDI. From the front panel, it looks like there are 16 banks (1 - 16) of 16 programs each (1 - 16), but from a MIDI point of view, there are 2 banks (0 and 1) of 128 programs (0 - 127).

So all the programs in banks 1 - 8 on the Sub37 are contained in MIDI bank 0, and Sub37 banks 9 - 16 are contained in MIDI bank 1.

Sub37 Front Panel -------> MIDI

Bank 01, Preset 01 -------> CC#0 = 0, CC#32 = 0, Program = 0
Bank 01, Preset 02 -------> CC#0 = 0, CC#32 = 0, Program = 1
Bank 01, Preset 03 -------> CC#0 = 0, CC#32 = 0, Program = 2
...
Bank 02, Preset 01 -------> CC#0 = 0, CC#32 = 0, Program = 16
Bank 02, Preset 02 -------> CC#0 = 0, CC#32 = 0, Program = 17

So:
CC#0 (Bank MSB) should ALWAYS be 0

CC#32 (Bank LSB) should be 0 for Sub37 banks 1 - 8
CC#32 (Bank LSB) should be 1 for Sub37 banks 9 - 16

Program # = (Sub37bank - 1) * 16 + (Sub37pgm - 1)

Have you set "Rcv MIDI Pgm Chg" to "Yes" on the Sub 37?

Hello there, I'm new here. I am trying to send a preset change from my softstep to my sub 37. I am sending CC # 0 value 0 and a CC #32 value 1 to the sub. It doesn't do anything. I am on the right channel. I'm sure I need to do something else as well. Can someone point me in the right direction? I've attached a screenshot below. Thanks.
