Here is a small "educational" Sub 37 experiment to learn a bit about harmonics and scales :
- Select " Init Preset"
- Turn volume Osc 1 down, and Osc 2 half way
- Set Osc 2 waveform to triangle (= the one with the least harmonics)
- Switch dual mode on
- Switch hard sync on
Press the lowest C on the keyboard (I will call this C1) , and play another note. If you play a perfect harmonic (C2,C3,C4,G2,G3) you will hear also a triangle.
Play C1 E3: Note that it has less harmonics than other notes, put is not a perfect triangle. Go to the " Tuning Scales menu" and switch from " 12 T Equal Temp" to " 5-Limit Just" : Now this interval is " just" .
Simple and fun way to learn a bit about " perfect" intervals !
Cheers,
Hans

Re: Sub 37 for " Fun with Maths "
I am surprised no one commented previously, I tried the technique and its very interesting, a part of the sub 37 I had not explored.
Thanks for taking time to post.
