Hi all
I had to return my previous Sub 37 due to two faulty keys. I received a brand new one today, but the oscillators are seriously out of tune with each other. I ran note calibration (full range) 4 times and they finally came into tune. But turning the synth on later they were out of tune again. Has anyone experienced this? The previous synth was always in tune. Is there anything I can do to fix this or is it broken?
Thanks.
Sub 37 oscillators out of tune
Re: Sub 37 oscillators out of tune
You should ask for servicing your instrument. Once I had an out of tune issue myself. After one run of the autotune procedure the VCOs are still fine. To have them detuned after a power off/on cycle is absolutely not nominal. If you have still warranty - I think you should - don't risk it by trying something yourself - until you are an expert in this

I may be in the minority, and I understand this doesn't address the touring musician, but I leave my analogs on all the time and the tuning(s) have been perfect. Even the freqbox's are nearly spot on. Also have climate controlled studio. So the potential is there.

Re: Sub 37 oscillators out of tune
Just to conclude this old thread for future reference: After support sent me some auto calibration scripts, which did not help, I returned the synth and got another one. This one, luckily, was flawless. No broken keys. Oscillators in tune. I have been a happy tweaker ever since.
