Again... The unit is not BRICKed.
Something about your process simply needs to be changed so that SysEx is correctly getting to the unit.
Bricked means that there is absolutely nothing you can do to fix this unit without reinstalling boot code.
Alarmist headlines are not the way to get to the next step.

Can you give us a few more informations?
Mac/Windows?
Did you try to install the last firmware v1.1, or some older one?
Did you use the fully automated new installer or did you try to upload sysex files with some tools?
And I agree, as panicking as it can seem, brick isn't the correct term here.
If under mac,
-try sysex librarian,
-be sure to go straight from mac to sub37, no usb hub or else,
-reduce sysex librarian speed to 25%,
-send each file at a time, in correct order, being sure the sub37 is each time found again by sysex librarian
All the best,
Greg

Re: Sub 37 Stock at Step 1 (BRICK)
what I found when i got stuck in this mode was to follow the moog instruction for manual setup and skip step one and go straight to step two definitely dont panic its process is very robust.
