1.1.0 is now here!
Re: 1.1.0 is now here!
Thanks Amos for the update.
I had problems running the auto update - first time through, my S37 'bricked' - when powered on, all LEDS lit, no response from the synth. Then I recalled reading in another thread that the S37 should have a direct USB connection, not via hub.
It was easier to plug direct into a different PC than direct into the one I had previously tried via hub (both PCs running Win 7). This time, the update ran smoothly.
Time for Amos to have a well earned break, but not too long, as I am waiting for the PC editor

Have to say my favourite thing so far is the CV mapping. I LOVE being able to use an expression pedal on LFO Rate for starters.

Thank you to Amos and the rest of the Moog crew that worked so hard on this!
For those of you trying to figure out how to use some of the new features, this video helped me tremendously: http://youtu.be/pPwSMW08BNA

Thanks Mike 37 for reply!
Update went smoothly MacOSX 10.7.5.
Very cool update. Really like the CV-mapping additions. The sync of arpeggiator to external Gate is really nice!
Thanx Amos and team!

Re: 1.1.0 is now here!
Finally had a chance to upgrade. The Windows installer worked perfectly for me using a Windows 8.1 machine.
Thanks to Amos and all of the other hard working folks at Moog. Job well done
And also ...Thanks to all the beta testers.
I noticed a download for 1.1 presets. I installed it but didn't see anything new although I didn't spend much time looking at them. Are there any big changes there?

Chiming in as a Windows 8.1 user who had the upgrade go smoothly. I haven't had time to dig in yet, but I'm really looking forward to it.

Re: 1.1.0 is now here!
So, not wanting to re-RTFM, has someone compiled a what's new in 1.1.0? Short list:
CV mapping
LFO dest set by knob twiddle
tuning variance
sequencer lights per step / editor
seq ratchet and skip
seq mod only (no notes) mode
What have I missed? Impressive list! I would have been thrilled with just the LFO destination change.

Dang... that's quite a list!
Re: 1.1.0 is now here!
I've tried to update my Sub37 with 1.1.0 firmware updater for Windows and it did not see the MIDI ports. Rebooting the PC and power cycling Sub37 did not help. Tried different Windows PC, same result.
Strangely enough "Moog Sub37" MIDI port was listed, but the software did not see it. Switched updater to advanced mode and explicitly selected MIDI port, still did not work.
Had to resort to manual update procedure which worked seamlessly.
Looks like automatic Sub37 firmware updater needs some work. This was on Windwos 7 and 8.1, embedded USB ports.

Piece of pie! (easy as cake)
Auto Installed using Win7 Pro and and my work laptop using direct USB. Looking forward to sending the EP-3 foot pedals to new exciting destinations. Also curious about the Variance parameter and other features, but a recent gear acquisition came with a 400-page PDF manual, so I'm bogged down with information overload at the moment.

Re: 1.1.0 is now here!
After waiting several days to see if stability issues cropped up (which there were none of apparently) I upgraded my S37 last night using the supplied windows installer. No issues whatsoever with the update and now I'm busy knob-tweaking like never before. Kudos to Amos and Moog!!!
Re: 1.1.0 is now here!
Yeah, the update is fantastic.
Only thing that got broken is the Panel Mode. Quite often, when I switch to Panel Mode, I notice that some parameters aren't what the knob positions are suggesting. Moving the knobs causes a hard jump of the actual parameter value, and then it's correct.
Not dramatic, but it does make the Panel Mode a bit deceptive

Try reinitializing the panel mode by pressing that button in and holding it for about 5 seconds.
